We Make Change For Women
In March, the Philippines observes Women's Month. Since 1988, Filipinos have dedicated the entire month to commemorating the achievements of the country's women and raising awareness about domestic abuse, misogyny, and other problems that women experience daily. This occasion includes commemorating International Women's Day, which was established by the UN as a day for people all around the world to talk about civil and human rights and equality for women. The 2023 National Women's Month Celebration introduces a new recurrent theme from this year to 2028: WE for gender equality and an inclusive society, signaling a turning point in the growth of women's rights. The 2016–2022 theme, WE Make CHANGE Work for Women, which emphasized the need for caring and coordinated networks to advance gender equality and women's empowerment, inspires a fresh commitment to activism and builds on the successes made during that time. Celebrating Women’s month serves as a reminder of the significance of bringing up and bringing attention to the difficulties that women experience all over the world. It is important to celebrate this because it shines a spotlight on women, it’s all about quality, and it raises awareness.
WE stands for Women and Everyone highlighting the role of women themselves and everyone in the goal of gender equality. WE can make gender equality a reality by working together with women and everyone. We stands for Women’s Empowerment.
